Road safety is a shared responsibility, and a few simple habits can prevent many of the accidents seen on Sindh’s roads and highways. Always wear a seatbelt, and insist that children are seated safely in the back. For motorcyclists, a properly fastened helmet remains the single most effective protection against serious injury. Keep to the speed limit, maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, and avoid overtaking on blind bends or in poor visibility. Never use a mobile phone while driving — even a moment’s distraction can be enough to cause harm. Take regular breaks on long journeys to stay alert, and never drive when tired. Pedestrians, too, should cross at marked points and stay clear of fast-moving traffic. Whether you travel by car, bike, bus, or on foot, caution and courtesy protect not only you but everyone who shares the road.
